PE News - T2 Week 6

Well done to both our boy’s u12 football and our girl’s u15 basketball teams last weekend. Our boys were at home last Saturday and were very unlucky not to make it out of their group. The standard of football from all sides was high and there was not much between each team. Well done boys, you did us proud. Our girls’ basketball teams were runners up in the annual Inter u15 Inter Choueifat competition which took place in ISC Sharjah. The girls topped their group with some impressive scores from Lynn Bardan and Safa Al Shabibi. The girls met a strong Abu Dhabi side in the final and unfortunately lost on a score of 18-6. The side show great promise and we look forward to more success in the future.

This weekend we are excited to be hosting our first grade 5 & 6 sports tournament. There has been much planning and preparation over the last month and we look forward to see who will clinch the wins. Each student has been randomly placed in either the red, blue, green or yellow team and will compete for the winner’s trophy in each category. We invite parents to wear your child’s team color and cheer them on this Saturday.

Next Tuesday our senior boy’s football team will travel the short distance to Nibras to compete in the second leg of their friendly football. The boys have been training after school each week and these friendly games are a great warm up for the Dubai Schools Cup and the AUD Sports challenge which are coming up in February. Kick off will be at 4.30pm in Nibras green field and we invite you to travel to cheer on our students.
