PE News - Week 7

This week our SLO prefects did an excellent job in running our Grade 4 Boys Football League. The students from Grades 4A to F did battle on our green field for a place in next weeks semi-finals. The league is promoting fitness and health and all students were encouraged to take part and join in. Each day both boys and girls from grade 4 stood on the sidelines to cheer on their classmates and evaluate their competition. Next week will prove exciting as we will watch the semi finals and final take place. Thank you to our SLC, Ms. Amal and the Sports and Health Prefects for all their help.

Well done to our Grade 8 students Gritsa Sharma and Aliya Abdurakhmanova who took part in this years Girls Badminton Inter Choueifat competition. Last Saturday the girls travelled to Khalifa City with their coach Ms. Ciara to compete in the open age tournament. Both girls played 4 games each and although we did not take home any silverware the girls did us very proud and enjoyed the contest.

This weekend it is the boys turn to compete. In our first competition of the year Mr. Ferdia will travel with four students to compete in this years Boys Inter Choueifat Table Tennis and Badminton competition. This too is an open age competition and students from grades 8, 10 and 11 have been chosen to compete. We wish the boys all the best in Khalifa City.
